CAD Technician

As a CAD Technician / Designer, you will provide drafting and design support across all phases of civil engineering projects, including municipal infrastructure, MILCON, institutional, commercial and residential site development. You will transform engineering concepts into detailed construction drawings and models while ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to CAD standards.

• →Produce and edit civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
• →Develop site development plans, including:
  • →Site layout and grading plans
  • →Utility plans (water, wastewater, stormwater)
  • →Erosion & sediment control plans
  • →Paving, drainage, and detention systems
• →Prepare Plan & Profile drawings for underground utilities and infrastructure
• →Perform site grading, terrain modeling, and preliminary layout of storm sewer and utilities
• →Produce exhibits, details, and supporting documentation
• →Ensure drawings comply with established CAD standards and project specifications
• →Manage and organize project files and documentation
• →Collaborate with engineers and project teams while meeting project budget and deadline

• →5 or more years of experience in civil CAD drafting/design for site development or municipal infrastructure
• →Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (model space, paper space, base drawings)
• →Preparing plans for water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway systems
• →Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and topographic surveys
• →Strong understanding of site grading, geometry, drainage, and utility layouts
• →Experience producing permit and construction drawing sets
• →Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
• →Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
