Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer III to support water resources, land development, and/or transportation projects. Responsibilities

  • →Assist with managing water resources, land development, and transportation design projects and studies, including:
    • →Site layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control plans
    • →Stormwater management, flood mitigation, and water quality systems
    • →Water, wastewater, and utility design and coordination
    • →Roadway, multimodal, access, and site circulation design
  • →Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of stormwater systems.
  • →Prepare drainage studies, stormwater master plans, and supporting technical reports.
  • →Analyze and design municipal neighborhood improvements, including stormwater facilities, roadways, sidewalks, utilities, and related site improvements.
  • →Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
  • →Coordinate multidisciplinary design tasks and perform quality control of models, calculations, reports, and plans.
  • →Support permitting and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • →6+ years of experience designing civil engineering projects, including water resources, land development, and/or transportation projects.
  • →Knowledge of infrastructure, site, and roadway design principles and plan preparation.
  • →Experience in site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and permitting.
  • →Experience with roadway geometry, access, multimodal facilities, and site circulation design.
  • →Expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and water quality design.
  • →Experience with H&H modeling; StormWise and ICPR experience is preferred.
  • →Experience managing or independently executing multidisciplinary design tasks and projects.
  • →Excellent technical writing skills.
  • →Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
  • →Ability to work in a team environment.
  • →Ability to travel throughout the Baxter & Woodman service area using personal transportation.
  • →Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D is preferred, and ArcGIS experience is a plus.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $100,000-$130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

Requirements

  • 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.
  • Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).
