~1 min readOur Client is a well-established residential and commercial development company in Ontario seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to manage and support civil engineering aspects of development projects from preliminary design through approvals and construction. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, practical construction experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Execute civil engineering designs for residential and commercial development projects.
- →Prepare technical deliverables, including drawings, specifications, reports, tender packages, and cost estimates.
- →Design critical infrastructure, covering site grading, servicing, drainage, stormwater management, and septic systems.
- →Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs from architects, planners, surveyors, and contractors.
- →Liaise with regulatory agencies, including Ontario municipalities, conservation authorities, and utility providers.
- →Ensure full compliance with Ontario standards, municipal requirements, and building codes.
- →Conduct site visits and inspections to provide technical support and monitor progress.
- →Resolve construction issues, managing design changes, site conditions, and RFIs.
- →Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and approval authorities.
Required Experience & Skills
- →Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- →Licensure: Mandatory Ontario P.Eng. licence.
- →Experience: Land development (residential/commercial) or construction engineering.
- →Technical Skills: Grading, drainage, stormwater management, site servicing, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- →Documentation: Preparing construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- →Compliance: Strong familiarity with Ontario municipal approval processes and engineering standards.
- →Mobility: Valid Ontario driver's licence for project site travel.
- →Asset: PMP certification is highly valued.
- →Eligibility: Must currently reside and be legally authorized to work in Ontario, Canada.
