Through our BAYADA RBT Academy, we give you the training you need to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT) to support children ages 0-8 at our state-of-the-art center in Wall Township, NJ, school-based in Neptune, or through in-home visits throughout Ocean, Monmouth, or Middlesex counties.

- 40 hour Online Training (no-cost to access):
- Complete Rethink’s 40-hour independent RBT training, featuring interactive, self-paced lessons on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Certification:
- Upon completing the training modules, quizzes and activities, you would receive a certificate of completion from Rethink
- Clinical Skills Training:
- Practice core RBT skills and build confidence
- Apply data collection and graph interpretation skills through video-based “Data-Lab” activities focused on real-world application of ABA measurement procedures and clinical decision-making
- Work through real-life clinical scenarios by verbally explaining how they would respond using ABA principles, professional vocabulary, and ethical decision making while receiving coaching and feedback from trainers
- Participate in guided direct observations of RBTs working with clients to build understanding of the RBT role, session flow, client interaction, behavior support strategies, and the practical application of ABA procedures in real clinical settings. Observations include active engagement through note-taking, identifying ABA strategies in action, and discussion/debriefing with trainers to connect observations to concepts learned in training.
- Participate in BAYADA’s paid, 2-day in-person experiential training, which includes hands-on learning using the Behavioral Skills Training (BST) approach (instruction, modeling, rehearsal and feedback). You will:
- Independent Study Supports:
- Trainees are provided with study guides aligned with the Rethink modules as well as SAFMEDS (Say-All-Fast-Minute-Every-Day-Shuffled) flashcards to support knowledge review and preparation for the RBT exam.

Work directly with students in the classroom, center, or in-home, following the established service plan

Establish and maintain relationships with clients and teams. Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families

Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers/other RBTs/BCBAs/etc. on the child's support team

Document interventions and progress towards goals

Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan

Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals

Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their routines

Supports children 0-8 years old to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
