Bayswater Cyprus is looking for a dynamic, creative, and organized individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Activity Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a wide range of exciting and engaging activities for our campers. As the Activity Manager, you will ensure that all activities run smoothly, are fun, safe, and aligned with the camp’s educational and recreational goals. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and an enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences.

This is a residential position, so full board and accommodation is provided free of charge.
Position Summary
Contract Type: Fixed Term Summer Programme – June to August 2026
The Activity Manager role at Bayswater Education has core responsibility for:
- All non-academic activities at the summer centre
- Line-managing a team of Activity Leaders
- Finalising coach bookings and attraction bookings
- Booking additional excursions and tickets as necessary
- Organising the onsite afternoon and evening activity programme
- Organising the activity staff rota alongside the Centre Manager
- Liaising with Group Leaders about the activity/excursion programme
Key duties & responsibilities
- Running the activity and excursion programme within the agreed budgetary guidelines and keeping an accurate record of expenditure
- Organising and scheduling the work of the team of Activity Leaders in the centre so they are utilised efficiently, and supervisory ratios are met
- Planning and organising activities and events, such as sports tournaments, talent shows, quiz nights, etc (delegating some aspects as necessary)
- Researching, planning, and coordinating full and half day excursions as included in the programme
- Checking bookings for activities and transport. Making additional bookings where necessary.
- Briefing your team daily on the upcoming activities and excursions
- Checking and supervising Activity Leaders to ensure that activities and excursions are run correctly
- Updating the Activities notice board regularly and communicating any changes to Group Leaders and staff
- Ensuring staff refer to risk assessments before participating in any activity or excursion; updating risk assessments as necessary
- Developing and maintaining a positive rapport with Group Leaders
- Checking and submitting Activity Leader time-sheets
- Checking and submitting expenses related to activities
- Ensure staff training and development needs are met
The nature of the role requires the candidate to work across all days of the week, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. The position includes one designated day off per week. Bayswater Cyprus is unable to accommodate holiday requests during the summer camp operating period.
What We Are Looking For
Knowledge, qualifications, and experience
Essential
- An undergraduate degree
- Experience of working with groups of international students taking part in educational and/or activity programmes
- Experience of summer centre management and best practice
- Solid knowledge of safeguarding
- Experience of safeguarding of children/young people
- Experience of managing a team
Desirable
- Current First Aid certificate
- An appropriate qualification (e.g., Playwork, Childcare or Sports Leadership)
Skills and Attributes
- Fluent in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly collaborative and able to work across teams to deliver results
- Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Highly organised and able to manage a varied and demanding workload
- Resilient with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach to work

Salary and Benefits
- Salary of €650 per week
