Controller

Bustle Digital Group is seeking an experienced Controller to join our growing Finance team! This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Bustle Digital Group accounting by providing process knowledge, technical expertise, and reporting leadership with a strong desire to improve processes and controls.

The candidate must be a leader, have experience in managing teams, be detail oriented, have strong organization and communication skills, and be hands-on. The position requires management capabilities to communicate with and educate finance and non-finance personnel on financial policies and business opportunities. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is focused on process improvement, and has the passion to excel.

• CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar

• 10-15 years’ experience, with a blend of public accounting firm and private industry experience

• Strong and proven technical accounting skills, specifically revenue recognition, complex transactions, stock-based compensation

• Strong Accounting systems and Excel skills

• Detail oriented and organized team player with an ability to take a new perspective using existing solutions

• Proactive attitude to bring up any issues and assist team with coming up with solutions

• Critical thinker who can seek innovative solutions to complex business/technical issues

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly and concisely interface with all levels of executive leadership
