✓Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with some Finance background preferred

✓3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.

✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

✓Ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and implement solutions.

✓Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.

✓Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

✓Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

✓Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both accounting and other teams.

✓CPA certification (preferred)

✓Hands-on experience with property management accounting software (preferred)

✓Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and account reconciliations.

✓Assist accounting manager with payroll billbacks

✓Draft corporate budget and assist with monthly classifications and financial review

✓Calculate and reconcile monthly CAM charges, percent rent and management fees.

✓Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and completeness.

✓Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

✓Prepare supporting schedules and financial analyses.

✓Review financial statements and identify unusual trends, errors, or inconsistencies.

✓Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

✓Investigate accounting discrepancies and determine root causes.

✓Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful explanations for financial results.

✓Identify accounting process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

✓Develop tools, reports, and metrics that improve decision-making.

✓Collaborate with asset management, acquisitions, and property management teams to resolve financial issues.

✓Lead and support special projects related to accounting

✓Assist with system implementations, process automation, and workflow improvements.

✓Evaluate existing processes and recommend scalable solutions.

✓Participate in acquisitions, asset management, and other strategic initiatives as needed.

✓Create and maintain documentation for accounting procedures and controls.

✓Facilitate and oversee new acquisition property setup including all credit accounts, utilities, banking, treasury management, accounting and financial accounts within our software, etc.
