Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reconciliations and journal entries, assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, supporting month-end and year-end close, and helping ensure financial transactions are recorded in accordance with organizational policies, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting principles.

The position is full-time and includes medical and dental insurance, retirement contributions, and paid leave. Generally, the schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, except Wednesdays when we close at 5 PM. The position requires the employee to be an active member of a Southern Baptist church.

  Perform all accounting operations and ensure their compatibility with accounting principles and regulations

  Create budget and financial forecasts, balance sheet, profit/loss statements and similar documentation

  Prepare timely and accurate financial statements

• →

  Perform month-end and year-end close processes

• →

  Review financial transactions for compliance with internal controls

• →

  Retrieve, analyze and manage company's account information

• →

  Prepare periodic reports for company's executives and top managers

• →

  Keep corporate information confidential and develop safety measures such as random database backups

• →

  Monitor all updates to financial policies, regulation, and legislation

• 1+ years' experience of working as an accountant or other relevant position

• Profound knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and procedures

• Excellent knowledge of accounting software

• Strong computation skills with close attention to detail

• Productivity and confidentiality

• Degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA certification would be a bonus
