As a Construction Observer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the construction phase of projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities
~1 min readIn this role, you will:
- →Provide daily observation of construction activities to verify compliance with project plans and specifications.
- →Prepare and maintain accurate daily field reports.
- →Track material quantities and unit prices.
- →Interpret plans and specifications and maintain a red-line set of construction drawings.
- →Assist contractors with RFIs and review material submittals.
- →Conduct field testing of construction materials.
- →Retrieve and document construction material samples.
- →Perform other tasks associated with construction observation and inspection as assigned.
- →Travel required across Southern New Mexico.
- Education -- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Industry Experience -- You have at least 3+ years of experience in roadway or utility infrastructure construction either with an engineering firm or as an employee of a general construction contractor.
- Project and Construction Knowledge -- You have past experience in construction management or observation.
- Technical and Communication Skills -- You have written and oral communication skills, computer skills (Word and Excel). You have the ability to track unit price quantities, read plans, and understand standard specifications.
- Personal Strengths -- You are determined, organized, detail oriented, and customer focused.
- Bonus Skills -- Construction materials laboratory testing experience is a plus.
