Asphalt Superintendent

Summary

    Leads asphalt paving crews and oversees daily operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Responsible for coordinating crews, equipment, and production while maintaining quality and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support foremen and crew members
• Coordinate daily crew activities, equipment, and job schedules
• Perform and oversee paving, seal coating, crack fill, patching, and striping work
• Operate equipment such as skid steer, roller, tack truck, and backhoe
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Monitor quality, production, and adherence to project specifications
• Complete daily reports and track production and crew performance
• Troubleshoot issues and keep projects on schedule and within budget
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets company and project standards
• Assist with traffic control setup including signs, cones, and barricades

Qualifications
• Relevant experience in asphalt paving and field operations
• Proven leadership and ability to manage crews
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and perform physical labor
• Experience with layout, striping, and patching operations
• Ability to operate paving and support equipment
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
