Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize EBM production processes, driving reductions in scrap, downtime, and overall equipment inefficiencies.
Responsibilities

- →Evaluate, recommend, and implement cost-effective solutions through process and equipment upgrades.
- →Oversee equipment installation projects including new machinery and legacy rebuilds, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- →Analyze and improve production workflows by developing detailed work cells and CAD-based factory layouts.
- →Develop and track key manufacturing metrics to support compliance with both internal quality benchmarks and external regulatory standards.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and implement process enhancements, ensuring successful change adoption.
- →Conduct risk assessments and drive process safety and quality compliance across all engineering functions.
- →Mentor maintenance and operations staff, offering support in troubleshooting and long-term skill development.
- →Prepare status updates and technical documentation to inform leadership and drive project alignment.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, or demonstrated expertise in EBM processing and plastic manufacturing operations.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in plastics production, with a focus on Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) or Injection Stretch Blow (ISB) processes.
- Familiarity with auxiliary equipment such as grinders, mixers, accumulator heads, leak testers, palletizers, conveyors, and labelers.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills with proficiency in MS Office, CAD tools, and manufacturing software systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and develop process documentation for various audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and process efficiency.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to mentor others.
- Willingness to travel between Fort Wayne and Dayton plant locations (approximately 10–20% travel).
