Responsibilities

  • Direct service, installation, dispatch, and office operations to improve consistency, responsiveness, and execution
  • Raise HVAC service and replacement performance through stronger technician coaching, better follow through, and clearer expectations in the field
  • Own the business rhythm around budgeting, forecasting, pricing discipline, and margin improvement
  • Build scorecards, weekly operating routines, and performance reviews that create accountability across field and support teams
  • Coach frontline leaders and technicians on close rate, average ticket, membership growth, and overall customer experience
  • Develop a stronger talent bench through better hiring, onboarding, training, and retention practices
  • Help the business move from founder-reliant decision making to a more scalable, metrics-driven operating model
  • Partner with ownership on growth priorities, operational improvements, and long-range planning
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, and profitability across the organization
  • Foster a culture of ownership, professionalism, urgency, and measurable results
  • Proven leadership experience in residential HVAC or another field-based home services environment
  • Strong command of service and replacement operations, technician productivity, and field-driven revenue generation
  • Experience owning P and L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement
  • Ability to coach teams in the field and use performance data to improve close rates, average ticket, and execution
  • Track record of building structure, developing leaders, and creating accountability that lasts
  • Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial environment where a business is evolving into a more mature operating model
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence teams across field and office functions

Nice to Have

  • Strong HVAC depth, with plumbing exposure viewed as helpful but not essential
  • Familiarity with KPI dashboards, field service systems, and performance management tools
