Mechanical Engineer III

• →Lead and support mechanical system design for building projects, including HVAC and related systems across a variety of project types
• →Develop detailed engineering drawings, system layouts, and technical specifications for assigned project components
• →Perform engineering calculations, load analyses, and system sizing to support design decisions
• →Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated design solutions
• →Prepare cost estimates, evaluate equipment selections, and review vendor submittals for compliance with project requirements
• →Support development of technical documentation, including evaluations of asset lifecycle expenses and assessments of facility conditions
• →Participate in field investigations, site visits, and data collection to support project execution
• →Assist in refining internal design standards, best practices, and engineering processes
• →Support and mentor junior engineering staff, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing
• →Engage in continuous learning to stay current with evolving technologies, codes, and industry trends

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Around 6–9 years of hands-on experience in mechanical system design for buildings and infrastructure
• Fundamentals of Engineering certification required, with progression toward Professional Engineer licensure
• Strong experience with engineering design software and modeling tools
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, building systems integration, and design methodologies
• Ability to manage assigned project tasks independently while collaborating effectively with broader teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to participate in fieldwork and site evaluations as needed

• Actively pursuing or having obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience supporting healthcare, institutional, or complex facility projects
• Interest in sustainable design, energy efficiency, and high-performance buildings
