Responsibilities

  • Develop, establish, and optimize robust injection molding processes for production and new product launches.
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and manufacturing equipment to improve quality, efficiency, and uptime.
  • Support mold sampling, process development, and production startup activities.
  • Lead and support process validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify process improvements and reduce variability.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and Production teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Assist with equipment transfers, startup projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply scientific molding principles to establish repeatable and sustainable manufacturing processes.
  • Support efforts to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in injection molding process engineering or manufacturing engineering.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and optimizing injection molding processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing process data and implementing corrective actions.
  •  Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Scientific molding experience.
  • Experience with RJG cavity pressure monitoring systems and/or eDART process monitoring.
  • IQ/OQ/PQ validation experience.
  • Experience supporting mold sampling and process development.
  • Experience working with Engel, Nissei, Milacron, or similar injection molding equipment.
  • Experience within ISO 9001, ISO 13485, medical device, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Master Molder certification or equivalent training is a plus.
