UNARMED FIRE WATCH SECURITY OFFICER

Position: Unarmed Fire Watch Security Officer – Residential Property
Schedule: 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Blueline Security Services is seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Fire Watch Security Officer for an overnight assignment at a residential property in Silver Spring, MD.

The officer will be responsible for maintaining an active fire watch, conducting required patrols and checkpoints, monitoring the property, assisting residents when appropriate, and reporting any safety concerns or unusual activity.

Because this is a residential property, the ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, remain professional when interacting with residents and visitors, and be able to communicate effectively.

• Must have an active security guard license

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

• Must be available for the 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM overnight shift

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

• Must remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Must be comfortable using a smartphone to complete required checkpoints and reports

• Must have excellent customer service skills

• Must be professional and respectful when interacting with residents, guests, and property staff

• Must be able to follow written post orders and fire watch procedures

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the property

• Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct

• Previous residential security or fire watch experience is preferred

• Conduct scheduled fire watch patrols throughout the residential property

• Complete required smartphone checkpoints

• Monitor the property for fire, smoke, hazards, or unusual activity

• Remain visible, alert, and attentive while on duty

• Assist residents and visitors with general security-related questions when appropriate

• Provide professional and courteous customer service

• Monitor entrances, common areas, and assigned areas of the property

• Report safety concerns, suspicious activity, fire hazards, or unusual incidents immediately

• Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs)

• Follow all site post orders and Blueline Security Services policies

• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, property management, and emergency personnel when necessary

Pay: $18.50 per hour
