Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.

  • Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.

  • Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed.

  • Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).

  • Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.

  • Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.

  • Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.

  • Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.

  • Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).

  • Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds.

  • Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).

  • Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.

  • Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.

  • Assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.

  • Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • Identify roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.

  • Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Be a military servicemember or recent veteran from an aligned Military Occupation Code with a valid Boeing Accelerated Hiring Pathways Endorsement Form.

  • Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.

  • Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force; and reach overhead up to six hours per day.

  • Must be able to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.

  • Must be able to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.

  • Experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.

  • Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, along with successful completion of training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent education or military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.

  • Experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.

  • Experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.

Summary pay range: $54,000 - $64,000
