Boeing Global Services is searching for F/A-18 Ordnance Technician willing to work on 1st or 2nd shift at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Technician maintains the following: Aircraft ordnance and associated equipment
- →Remove and install ordnance related components and gear
- →Perform Daily, pre and post flight and periodic aircraft inspections.
- →Perform flight operation activities to include daily, turnaround, launch and recovery including plane captain activities
- →Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- →Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- →Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- →Troubleshoots complex ordnance systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- →Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- →Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- →Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.

- →Prioritizes quality, product and people safety
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
- Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Minimum of 5 years' of experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes
- Fighter Structural modification experience
- Experience with Ordnance or Ordnance Subsystems
- F/A-18 (AO) Qualifications
- Prior experience with Navy 4790.1 requirements, is preferred
