The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Flight Test Engineer located in Oklahoma City, OK.
You will have the unique opportunity to work on Boeing Mobility, Surveillance, & Bomber portfolio products. Key responsibilities include test planning, configuration control, test conduct, as well as data collection and analysis to assure product safety, performance, and regulatory certification during flight and ground tests. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Designs test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirements
- →Develops and maintains data system architecture
- →Supports fabrication, configuration, build, installation, and checkout of data system
- →Operates data system on aircraft ground tests and flight tests
- →Maintains, troubleshoots, and configure data systems
- →Supports aircraft refurbishment and data system de-mod
- →Collaborates across a broad spectrum of individuals and disciplines
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience in flight test, laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, and/or simulation
- Experience with transducer and sensor physics with the ability to make hardware and system selections appropriate to measure various physical phenomena
- Experience with data acquisition system attributes (e.g. range, accuracy, frequency responses, bandwidth) to define characteristics of measurements to be recorded
- Basic understanding of mechanical design and the ability to decipher engineering drawings
- 5+ yrs experience working with accelerometers, pressure sensors, thermocouples, strain gages, position sensors, and flowmeters
- 5+ yrs experience operating flight test instrumentation data systems
- 5+ yrs experience deciphering mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
