Responsibilities

  • →Execute category strategies aligned with regional and global procurement priorities
  • →Conduct thorough market research to identify new suppliers, drive competitive advantage, and enhance supplier diversity.
  • →Lead the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers in compliance with global procurement standards.
  • →Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive and effective sourcing processes engaging stakeholders early to understand business requirements and integrate them into procurement strategies.
  • →Apply category management techniques to help manage supplier negotiations, optimize pricing, and establish long-term supplier relationships that deliver value beyond cost savings, including innovation and quality improvements.
  • →Monitor and manage supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs). Organize regular supplier reviews to ensure consistent delivery of products/services in alignment with business needs and procurement standards.
  • →Lead the preparation and execution of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) processes, ensuring best practices are followed for each sourcing event and that data is captured accurately within procurement systems such as COUPA.
  • →Ensure that all procurement activities are compliant with internal controls, company policies, and external regulations. Proactively identify risks related to supply continuity, contract management, and supplier performance, escalating concerns as needed.
  • →Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement cycle, focusing on cost reduction, enhanced supplier collaboration, and streamlined procurement activities. Contribute to the development of procurement tools and processes that enhance efficiency and visibility across the supply chain.

Indirect Procurement categories tend to be complex with varying stakeholder needs, significant external spend and key relationships up to and including executive level. This role will drive value through ensuring the commercial elements of spend in the assigned indirect categories are executed brilliantly with our vendors. This role will lead some sourcing decisions with key stakeholders and will apply elements of category management to support the maximization of value, whilst minimizing risk from all external spend and assuring quality of delivery and performance.

 

  • Support NA Indirect Procurement Manager and Global Category Managers in the creation and execution of a 3-year strategic plan representing regional business needs & opportunities
  • Will challenge status quo and bring game changing ideas to team
  • Budget: Will use global guidance with regional levers & input
  • Will own regional change management & execution
  • Own selected supplier relationships
  • Lead indirect procurement sourcing projects and lead in all indirect categories of spend (Marketing, Office Services, Transportation, Learning and Development, Packaging, Professional Services, HR, Travel, IT, Facilities Maintenance, Fleet, Utilities and Material Handling Equipment
  • Align sponsors and business stakeholders to drive year on year cost savings
  • Develop and support initiatives to drive compliance to contracted suppliers or formal preferred supplier listings to ensure maximum savings are realized
  • Support post-acquisition activities driving benefits from spend category
  • Undertake supplier management for all major suppliers within specific spend categories
  • Establish & maintain risk management for assigned categories and suppliers ensuring continuity of supply
  • Ensure financial accuracy (measurement & allocation) of project benefits including cost savings, cost avoidance and value generation
  • Build strong relationships with both internal & external stakeholders enhancing the reputation of Global Procurement and Brambles

 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of procurement Experience
  • Business degree or equivalent
  • Procurement Certification (CPSM, CIPS, CSCP, CGPP, etc)

 

  • Category or commodity expertise is preferable
  • Knowledge of the CHEP business is desirable
  • Stakeholder management
  • Cost & financial management
  • Supplier management

 

  • Strong articulation of the regional supply market and take that knowledge to help develop a strategy/executable plan
  • Presence and confidence around Senior stakeholders
  • Global mentality and collaborative approach
  • Knowledge within indirect categories across multiple industries and subcategories

 

Scope

  • Hybrid role based in Orlando, FL or Atlanta, GA
  • Supporting U.S. & Canada
  • Working across multiple time zones
  • Travel up to 10%
