About the Role
~1 min readAs Foreperson, you will play a key leadership role within the workshop, supporting technicians and apprentices while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help coordinate workshop activities, provide technical guidance, and support the development of your team.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Supporting the allocation of jobs and workshop resources
- →Providing technical guidance and assistance to technicians and apprentices
- →Assisting with diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues
- →Reviewing repair orders for accuracy and completeness
- →Coordinating technician training and skills development
- →Supporting workshop safety initiatives and team performance
- →Maintaining and managing workshop tooling and equipment
- →Assisting with customer concerns and service-related enquiries
- →Acting in a leadership capacity when the Service Manager is absent

- Trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience as a Service Technician
- Strong technical and diagnostic abilities
- Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop others
- Experience working with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example
- Experience with John Deere products is advantageous
- Forklift licence preferred
