Accounting Systems Assistant

• →Monitor and report on departmental expenditures and balances
• →Track disposal tonnage and process related invoices
• →Support public inquiries and complaints related to construction, permits, and claims
• →Coordinate data entry of payroll, purchase orders, refuse accounts, and vendor billing
• →Communicate with contractors, Town Counsel, Dig Safe, and other stakeholders
• →Ensure accurate and timely support of DPW’s administrative functions

• High school diploma required; at least 3 years of experience in office/business administration or financial support
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and municipal operations preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and financial systems
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and deadlines
