The Apparel Sourcing and Materials team enables operational excellence across the apparel supply chain by driving material readiness, supplier collaboration, inventory optimization, and sourcing execution that supports Brooks’ global product and business growth. The team partners cross-functionally with Product, Development, Sourcing, Planning, Quality, Compliance, and Supply Chain Operations to deliver premium performance products with speed, agility, quality, and cost efficiency.
As a member of the Apparel Sourcing and Materials team, the Senior Apparel Materials Analyst owns execution of seasonal material planning for assigned apparel categories, including supplier follow-up, inventory liability tracking, and management reporting. Success in the role is measured by timely delivery of assigned milestones, accurate and well-documented analysis, proactive escalation of material risks, and strong follow-through on corrective actions. This role is accountable for owning assigned planning trackers and analyses, identifying and documenting risks and assumptions, and driving recommendations and actions to support material readiness, inventory health, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
The Senior Apparel Materials Analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams and global suppliers to ensure material readiness by identifying risks, confirming supplier status, documenting constraints, recommending solutions for issues and escalating any unresolved issues within agreed timelines, and tracking agreed mitigation actions through closure, except where delay or non-performance is caused by factors outside the employee’s control and timely escalated. This role requires advanced analytical capability, strong supply chain acumen, complex problem solving, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and external partners. The Senior Apparel Materials Analyst is expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and proactivity in performing the responsibilities of this role.
Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the employee’s ability to act proactively to:
- Complete assigned material planning, inventory, supplier follow-up, reporting, and analysis work by agreed seasonal calendar dates or other manager-approved deadlines.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and current planning trackers, reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation for assigned responsibilities.
- Identify material readiness, inventory, supplier, quality, cost, and delivery risks using available data and supplier or cross-functional inputs.
- Escalate risks, blockers, missing information, and unresolved decisions to the manager and relevant cross-functional owners within agreed timelines.
- Provide written recommendations that identify the issue, affected material, style or supplier, business impact, proposed action, owner, and timing.
- Follow through on assigned actions, document status, and track agreed corrective actions until closed or escalated.
- Communicate professionally and accurately with Brooks teams, regional sourcing offices, suppliers, and leadership.
- Demonstrate ownership by identifying errors, gaps, and blockers promptly and proposing practical corrective actions.
