Intern-Mechanical Engineering

Position Details:

• Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, Intern would prepare calculations, equipment specs, sizing, and optimization/selection.
• Intern, with guidance, will participate in design, modification, and analyses of mechanical systems.
• Intern may be required to utilize CAD tools to re3view and update drawings.
• Intern may be assigned project reports.
• Intern will participate in Company safety programs.
• Intern may be asked to participate in field inspections.

Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or related undergraduate program
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Mechanical Engineering or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to project work and projects.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Experience utilizing AutoCAD or similar design tool is preferred.
• Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Authorization to work in the United States. We are unable to provide visa support for this position.
• Must be physically able to conduct field trips to client facilities.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
• Work schedules could, during peak work periods, include extended work hours.
