- Prepares site for daily work, performs all housekeeping and duties necessary for daily activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Cleaning and Surface Care

Floor Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard floors and carpets. Periodic heavy floor care can include scrubbing, buffing, waxing, or shampooing carpets.
Dusting and Polishing: Wiping down and dusting furniture, fixtures, shelves, windowsills, and woodwork.
Glass and Window Cleaning: Washing interior windows, mirrors, glass partitions, and glass doors.

Sanitation and Waste Management

Restroom Upkeep: Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors.
High-Touch Disinfection: Sanitizing frequently touched surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, handrails, elevator buttons, and shared countertops to prevent the spread of germs.
Trash and Recycling: Daily emptying, cleaning, and lining of waste bins, as well as transporting trash and recyclable materials to outdoor dumpsters.

Facilities and Stock Management

Restocking Supplies: Refilling soap dispensers, paper towel holders, toilet paper rolls, and hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
Inventory Control: Maintaining a clean and organized janitorial closet. Tracking supply levels and working with management or vendors to order more cleaning chemicals and tools when needed.
Minor Maintenance: Handling small building repairs, such as replacing burnt-out lightbulbs or fluorescent tubes, fixing loose screws, and unclogging toilets.

QUALIFICATIONS

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Ability to work in inclimate weather condtions.Abilty to lift up to 50 lbs. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
