Bpi Guyana Inc. is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position:
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
The Human Resource Manager is based in Guyana and would be responsible for planning, directing, managing and overseeing the implementation and administration of the Company’s and Group’s Human Resources Management strategies, policies, programs and practices so as to ensure the achievement of established goals and objectives.
Some Main Responsibilities include:
- Develop a strategic process to define and implement Organizational Culture
- Manage all recruitment activities including assisting the line in identifying staff vacancies, recruitment, interviewing and selection of applicants for temporary and permanent labour ensuring the use of best practices and the standardization of recruitment processes and procedures
- Manage the appropriate use and applicability of all staff benefits and entitlements, ensuring they are consistent with corporate strategic goals
- Coach, counsel and train employees so as to create and maintain effective levels of performance and ensure the application of measures consistent with good labour relations practices
- Assist the line in dealing with refereeing disputes, termination of employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Maintain good communication and a positive relationship with employees to promote employee satisfaction and ensure a stable and peaceful labour environment
- Ensure investigation of employee complaints, and develop appropriate procedures to resolve complaints swiftly and amicably
- Manage the compensation structure and develop appropriate incentive systems and reward and recognition programs ensuring they are consistent with Company policies and philosophies
- Develop and implement the Performance Management System to achieve high levels of manpower productivity and performance
- Develop appropriate employee career planning and succession planning initiatives as well as strategies for the retention of key talent
- Oversee the effective implementation of the Training and Development program and implement systems to capture the transfer of learning from training provided
- Oversee and co-ordinate all Human Resource Information System (HRIS) activities ensuring the maintenance of records systems and the integrity of all data input and output
- Develop and maintain the Company’s manual of approved policies and procedures.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations.
- Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company
Qualification, Experience and Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field. Post Graduate degree would be an asset
- A minimum of 5 years of HR experience with at least 3 of those years at a managerial level.
- Experience in Industrial Relations would be an asset
- Or relevant combination of training and experience

Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in Guyana and able to relocate at their own expense.
