Are you an experienced operations leader who knows how to develop strong leaders, build accountability, and turn strategy into consistent execution across a multi-location organization?

This senior leadership role oversees the physical execution of the customer promise across our multi-brand, multi-location operation—from warehouse readiness and product movement through routing, delivery, installation, fleet, safety, and operational completion.

You’ll lead and develop Operations leaders, establish consistent standards across locations and brands, use data to improve performance, and partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Purchasing & Inventory Control, and senior leadership to build an operation that is safe, efficient, scalable, and customer focused.

At BMD, Inc., we’re proud to be a 100% employee-owned company, which means our employee-owners have the opportunity to share in the success they help create through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead multi-location, multi-brand operations across BSI’s 8 New Mexico and Texas locations, overseeing warehouse, routing/dispatch, delivery, installation, fleet, and other assigned operational functions.
  • Lead and develop Operations Managers and Assistant Operations Managers, establishing clear expectations, accountability, coaching, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Drive operational performance through KPIs and scorecards focused on warehouse readiness, on-time performance, first-time completion, productivity, labor utilization, overtime, route/crew utilization, damages, rework, customer satisfaction, and cost.
  • Own workforce and capacity planning, aligning staffing, schedules, equipment, fleet, and resources with business volume, customer commitments, and future growth.
  • Champion safety, fleet, and compliance, including driver safety, vehicle readiness, incident prevention and investigation, operational safety practices, and applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements.
  • Manage operational costs and profitability by improving labor and fleet utilization and reducing overtime, excess mileage, fuel consumption, damages, repeat trips, rework, downtime, and other controllable expenses.
  • Strengthen warehouse, delivery, and installation execution, creating consistent standards for product readiness, staging, routing, jobsite readiness, field execution, damage prevention, service recovery, and operational closeout.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Experience, Purchasing & Inventory Control, Service, HR, EHS, Facilities/Fleet, and leadership to improve handoffs, remove barriers, resolve escalations, and protect the customer experience.
  • Lead continuous improvement and strategic planning by identifying root causes, standardizing best practices, improving systems and workflows, and planning for future staffing, fleet, technology, capacity, geographic coverage, and growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Progressive leadership experience in operations, distribution, logistics, warehouse, delivery, installation, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and multi-location teams.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to use operational data and KPIs to make decisions and drive accountability.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, productivity, service, quality, and cost performance.
  • Experience with workforce planning, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
  • Experience with WMS, ERP/order-management systems, routing/dispatch platforms, fleet/telematics, and operational reporting tools.
  • A leadership style grounded in accountability, employee development, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • New Mexico MM-2, and/or EE-98 contractor licensure is preferred.

Experience in appliance distribution, building products, last-mile delivery, transportation, field installation, fleet management, or DOT-regulated operations is also preferred.
