We’re seeking a Team Lead - Dairy to join our team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will play a key part in driving performance across both people and processes, ensuring the successful delivery of production outcomes.

What’s the Scoop?

• Working with direction from the Production Lead to support the effective operation of the site and relevant department by dealing with the day to day issues that arise.
• For those on Weekend, Afternoon or Night Shift, responsibility for all Safety, Quality and Production related issues for the site.
• Support the delivery of year on year objectives for safety, quality, cost, reliability and delivery aligned with the overall One Operations Strategy.
• Aligning with the Operations Strategies to ensure that support is given to the delivery of each initiatives including leadership philosophies.
• Support the roll out plans for safety, quality, and operational excellence, training, auditing, delivery and cost.
• Support the NPD team with the scoping phase and transition of products through the stage gate process into Operations.
• Ensure that clear and documented communications are reported back to the Production Lead and Site Managers in a timely fashion.
• Support the Training Coordinators with the training and competency assessments for relevant teams.
• Robust and structured communication tool to be developed and upheld between Team Lead’s.
• Support with required SAP entry within the relevant team / shift
• Support development and coordination of team rosters in line with EBA requirements and operational needs
• Contribute to timekeeping and payroll processes, including review for accuracy
• Support adherence to SOPs, work instructions and operational standards
• Support Tier 1 DMS activities on shift, including communication and follow-up of actions
• Contribute to Tier 2 review and escalation processes where required

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and to initiate and deliver change independently or through teamwork.
• Ability to work cross functionally and engage broadly within the business.
• Knowledge and desire to learn the operational methodologies and tools.
• Ability and knowledge to correctly apply company and regulatory policies and procedures throughout their department.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) including the ability to manage workplace communication and effective workplace relationships.
• Commitment to and capacity for personal development.
• Demonstrated logical and lateral thinking skills with a capacity for innovation.
• Understanding of manufacturing, dairy or food production environments is desirable but not essential
