About the Role

Our client is seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join their team and provide technical assistance across the business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and develop within the field of IT support.

As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and providing technical support both remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Configure and install workstations with in-house software applications and peripherals for users.
  • Understand, configure and troubleshoot in-house software applications.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of IT hardware equipment as well as Live Casino equipment.
  • Assist with virus detection, maintenance and clean-up of in-house hardware.
  • Provide IT support to users across all company departments.
  • Assist with the installation of new cabling, including cable termination and testing.
  • Install and calibrate audio/visual equipment.
  • Manage technical IT issues within the Live Studios.
  • Monitor the delivery of live streams from the Live Casino and/or studio to the encoding servers.
  • Adhere to our client's policies and procedures while carrying out all duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Science or an advanced certification in an IT-related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ambitious, motivated and eager to learn.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 shift roster.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry would be considered an advantage but is not essential.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong computer literacy.
  • Flexible approach to work with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
