About the role

As a Senior Facilities Contract Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, well-maintained and ready to support great experiences for both customers and team members. Working closely with operational leaders, property teams, facilities management partners and landlords, you'll drive service performance, improve asset outcomes and identify opportunities to deliver greater value across a diverse property portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Property – Facilities Management, you'll be at the centre of a high-impact partnership model, helping shape the future of facilities management through innovation, continuous improvement and strong stakeholder collaboration.

What's involved

  • Lead and manage the performance of facilities management partners, ensuring service delivery meets business expectations.
  • Support store operations by providing practical solutions to facilities and asset-related challenges.
  • Influence maintenance and lifecycle planning decisions for key assets including HVAC, fire systems, electrical infrastructure and vertical transport.
  • Monitor compliance obligations and maintenance programs to ensure sites remain safe, operational and fit for purpose.
  • Analyse facilities and asset data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Contribute to business cases, capital investment decisions and long-term asset planning strategies.
  • Review budgets, assess project feasibility and support capital expenditure decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with service partners and internal stakeholders to ensure lease and operational obligations are met.
  • Manage service partners and performance against contractual KPIs.
  • Partner with property, operations and construction teams to support project delivery and ongoing site performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, safety, response times and value across the network.

About You

You're an experienced and commercially minded facilities professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, build trusted relationships and know how to influence stakeholders to achieve great results.

You'll be customer-focused, data-driven and motivated by solving complex problems with practical solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively, bringing people together around shared goals and identifying opportunities to improve the way things are done.

Most importantly, you're someone who stays calm under pressure, embraces challenges and enjoys delivering great outcomes to your stakeholders.

What you'll need

  • Significant experience in commercial property, asset or facilities management, ideally within retail, industrial or large-scale commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of building services and critical assets, including HVAC, fire systems, switchboards and vertical transport.
  • Sound understanding of facilities maintenance compliance, safety requirements and essential services.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management and business case development.
  • Experience analysing operational and asset data to support decision-making and investment priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of BMS and CMMS.
  • Advanced capability across Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, with confidence using emerging technology and AI-enabled tools.
  • Tertiary qualifications in property, facilities management, engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Trade experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building) would be beneficial
