PRIMARY DUTY:
This role performs a variety of functions related to environmental programs. Areas of focus include stormwater quality, erosion & sediment control, the mosquito surveillance program, water conservation, and household hazardous waste. Through inspections, site investigations, plan reviews, and other activities, this role supports compliance with a broad range of state and local codes, regulations and policies, and provides technical assistance and information to the public regarding environmental issues. Duties may occur outside of normal working hours.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field of study is required.
- At least two (2) years field experience in environmental science, or related field.
- Any combination of education, training, experience, and/or certification/licenses that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- A valid Class "C" driver license with a good driving record
- TDA Pesticide Applicators License within six months of hire
- 40 HR HAZWOPER OSHA certification
