The Expense Consultant serves as a vital operational partner to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), managing the intersection of vendor data, customer success, and strategic project execution. This role enables the CRO to remain focused on high-level revenue generation, strategic relationships, and business development by acting as the central coordinator for analytics, customer lifecycle management, and pricing initiatives. The position is fluid by design, with the consistent objective of providing comprehensive support to the CRO in any capacity required.

We are growing rapidly and building out a dedicated Purchasing Department to match the scale of our member network.   • Operational Support (Vendors): Manage administrative and analytical workflows for complex vendor deals. Ensure data integrity, document organization, and efficient process flow supporting front-end pricing strategies.
  • Customer Success: Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for existing clients. Conduct regular touchpoints to identify service issues, growth opportunities, and retention risks. Proactively support customers in maximizing Prime Source programs.
  • Strategic Projects: Provide data-driven support for RFPs, bids, vendor negotiations, and internal pricing analysis. Participate in customer implementations and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Prepare, clean, and organize customer spend data and utilization reports.
  • Identify gaps where customers are not maximizing Prime Source programs or contracts.
  • Support vendor analysis and purchasing data collection for negotiation and pricing strategy.
  • Actively participate in bid and proposal development processes.
  • Manage project coordination, documentation, and customer follow-up activities.
  • Reduce administrative burden on the CRO through proactive ownership of analytical tasks.
  • 2–4 years of experience in customer success, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Demonstrated experience working with spend data, vendor contracts, or procurement analytics is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to RFP/bid processes or B2B customer management highly desirable.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in data organization, spend analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, etc.).
  • Project Management: Ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder workflows and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; comfortable liaising with leadership and clients.
  • Customer Orientation: Experience in client-facing roles with a proactive, service-first mindset.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fluid, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data handling, reporting, and documentation.
