We are open to considering candidates at different stages of their accounting careers. Successful candidates may be hired at either the Senior Accountant or Accountant level, with responsibilities and scope aligned to their qualifications, experience, and professional background.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

• Prepare journal entries

• Prepare and support regulatory filings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and/or operations
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

• Support external and internal audit requests

• Support external and internal audit requests

What You’ll Bring: 

• Undergraduate degree from a recognized educational institution

• A professional accounting designation (CPA) 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

• Minimum 3 years of post CPA designation related experience in financial accounting 

• Proven ability to communicate orally and in writing

• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines, using proven problem solving and prioritization skills

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team

• Experience with Oracle Cloud and Power Query would be an asset

• Experience with utility accounting or working in a regulatory environment would be an asset
