We are looking for a CAD Designer / 3D BIM Modeller who will support the design, tendering, and execution phases of complex infrastructure and process projects.

You will contribute to the development of coordinated 2D and 3D design models for multidisciplinary projects across water, wastewater, energy, and industrial sectors. Your work will support engineering teams in producing accurate technical documentation and coordinated digital models throughout the project lifecycle.

In this multidisciplinary role, you collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and other technical disciplines to develop detailed BIM models and drawings, ensuring consistency, technical accuracy, and compliance with project standards and BIM protocols.

Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for process and MEICA systems using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar design software

Prepare Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in coordination with process and design engineers

Produce General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and installation drawings for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems

Support BIM Level 2/3 project delivery by following established BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and internal CAD/BIM standards

Work within collaborative 3D design environments aligned with international BIM standards such as ISO 19650

Coordinate models across disciplines and assist in resolving design clashes using tools such as Navisworks

Maintain drawing registers, file naming conventions, and revision control in accordance with project documentation procedures

Prepare models and drawings for technical review, fabrication, and site installation

Participate in design reviews, model coordination meetings, and BIM workshops

Provide technical support and guidance to junior CAD or BIM team members when required

Graduate degree (Graduaat/Associate Degree) or Professional Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent through experience

Proven experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar 3D modelling and CAD software

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process systems, ideally within water treatment, energy, or industrial process environments

Working knowledge of BIM methodologies and collaborative design processes

Ability to produce accurate, coordinated models and technical drawings

Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments

Well-organized with strong attention to detail and document control procedures

Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills

Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is considered an asset

Experience in water treatment, energy infrastructure, or industrial process plant projects

Familiarity with scan-to-BIM workflows, laser survey data, or point cloud integration

Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM standards
