Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, implement, test, and maintain custom software tools for the Aerodynamics department, delivering robust and scalable solutions that support engineering performance
- →Take full ownership of tasks and projects from concept through to deployment, driving the successful delivery of capabilities to end users with accountability for quality, timelines, and outcomes
- →Collaborate closely with engineers, aerodynamicists, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and translate business needs into effective software systems
- →Develop and support applications across the full software stack, including databases, backend services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces
- →Advocate for and apply software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, automated testing, documentation, maintainability, and continuous improvement
- →Lead troubleshooting, optimisation, and enhancement of existing systems to improve reliability, usability, and performance
- →Contribute technical expertise within a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment, supporting both ongoing operational needs and future innovation
What do you need to bring to the team?
- A technical degree in Engineering, Maths, Science or Computer Science
- Proven programming skills using C# and/or Python and associated technologies
- Proven experience working with SQL databases, ideally SQL Server
- Demonstrable experience delivering software solutions in a technical or engineering environment, ideally gained through a graduate programme or equivalent industry experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
- A proactive, adaptable and pragmatic mindset to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
