Role Overview

Cambridge Spark is looking for a AI Trainer to deliver our gold-standard AI and digital transformation programmes, with a primary focus on our Level 4 AI Workflow Specialist (AIWS) pathway, alongside supporting our existing education programmes and apprenticeship products.

You’ll lead practical, hands-on workshops that empower professionals to safely embed automation, low-code/no-code solutions, and advanced AI workflows into their day-to-day business operations. Working across funded apprenticeships and corporate training, you’ll ensure that programmes meet high standards for learner engagement, applied workplace impact, and real-world relevance.

Our L4 AIWS product is specifically designed for business professionals rather than deep software developers, meaning your training will emphasise applied GenAI use, Google Workspace Studio automations, business analysis for AI, and driving organisational productivity.

Responsibilities

~2 min read
  • High-Impact Training Delivery:
    • AIWS & Core Data Instruction: Deliver (end-to-end) the Level 4 AI Workflow Specialist curriculum alongside core modules of our broader digital and data literacy pathways.
    • Workflow Automation & AI Tools: Deliver engaging, hands-on workshops enabling learners to build and deploy practical AI workflows using modern low-code engines (e.g., Power Automate, n8n, Zapier) integrated with enterprise LLM environments (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini).
    • Advanced Context Engineering & RAG: Facilitate technical deep dives covering system prompts, prompt chaining, Agentic AI design patterns (such as ReAct), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and corporate knowledge architectures.
    • Applied Business Transformation: Instruct learners on AI economics, process optimisation, value stream mapping, and how to track, calculate, and report sustained ROI from automations.
  • Flexible Delivery & Travel Expectations:
    • Remote-First Delivery: Facilitate high-quality, interactive training sessions via virtual platforms, which represents the majority of our delivery model.
    • On-Site Travel: Travel to client sites or designated Cambridge Spark hubs to deliver face-to-face workshops and intensive training days during instances where in-person delivery is requested.
    • Adaptability: Maintain the pedagogical flexibility required to seamlessly pivot between remote instruction and on-site delivery environments.
  • Curriculum & Resource Alignment:
    • Content Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers to provide technical feedback on curriculum resources, labs, and self-directed learning paths.
    • Content Development: Utilise allocated time effectively to refine learning activities, build practical automation scenarios, and keep tool-stack materials updated with fast-moving industry changes.
  • Quality & Technical Excellence:
    • Standards & Quality: Implement quality processes and standardisation tasks as defined and owned by the Quality Team.
    • Continuous Learning: Maintain technical expertise across fast-moving GenAI tools, low-code frameworks, data structures, and workplace adoption patterns.

  • Low-Code & Workflow Automation Mastery: Hands-on experience building and teaching automated workflows using platforms such as Power Automate, n8n, or Zapier, including connecting systems via APIs, webhooks, and JSON data parsing.
  • Enterprise GenAI Proficiency: Mastery of enterprise GenAI interfaces, advanced prompt engineering workflows (including multi-shot, prompt chaining, and structured outputs), and the Google Workspace/Studio or Microsoft 365 AI developer ecosystems.
  • AI Knowledge Architectures: A strong conceptual and practical understanding of how AI connects to organisational data, including vector search spaces, context windows, chunking strategies, and RAG architectures.
  • Business Analysis & ROI Tracking: Proven capability to teach or apply process mapping, value stream re-engineering, and the financial calculation of automation ROI.
  • Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to act as a "translator" between complex technical architectures and non-technical operational business staff.

  • Scripting & Custom Integrations: Functional capability in Python scripting to guide advanced learners through custom developer integrations and basic data manipulation.
  • LLMOps, Safety & Governance: Familiarity with operationalising AI safely, including guardrail implementations, PII filtering, human-in-the-loop design, Shadow AI mitigation, and Algorithmic Impact Assessments.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Practical knowledge of deploying digital and AI solutions safely within the boundaries of data privacy standards and GDPR compliance.
  • Qualifications: A formal teaching or training qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent), or substantial enterprise facilitation experience.
