Audit Associate

Growing public accounting firm is seeking full-time audit associate with the following attributes:

• Excellent client interaction skills; oral and written communication skills
• Participate in audit, review, and compilation of engagements in a variety of client industries
• Provide timely client service, deliver high-quality work, and strengthen client relationships
• Actively take notes, ask questions, suggest ideas, and follow instructions to perform high-quality audit work
• Be proactive and actively seek opportunities within the team
• Use evaluations and review notes to develop self-awareness, personal strengths, and address development areas
• Assist in the planning of the engagements
• Assist in researching accounting and auditing matters, and document conclusions
• Assist in drafting financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Keep engagement team informed of the work progress
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be able to travel up to 20%

Qualifications:

• In addition to the above attributes, a qualified candidate should have the desire and capability to work collaboratively and openly with others in the team environment. 
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field. Qualified candidates must be eligible and willing to sit for the CPA exams.
• Experience in public or private accounting is a plus.
• Must possess knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
