Responsibilities

→Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
→Provide technical leadership and drive solution design, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
→Design and build robust Microservices and REST APIs for enterprise-grade applications.
→Lead features and technical initiatives from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
→Guide and mentor developers through technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
→Ensure backend solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, maintainable, and performance focused.
→Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Mobile, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
→Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
→Drive coding standards, engineering quality, and continuous improvement across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

→10+ years of experience in Java backend development, with experience leading technical teams or complex engineering initiatives.
→Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
→Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed backend services.
→Proven ability to drive technical design and architecture decisions for enterprise applications.
→Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean coding, and secure coding practices.
→Experience building scalable, reliable, and enterprise-grade applications.
→Ability to mentor engineers and drive high engineering standards across the team.
→Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

→Experience in the Payments / FinTech domain, including payment processing and integrations.
→Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging/event-driven technologies.
→Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and database performance optimization.
→Experience with Spring Security and application security practices.
→Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, and Kubernetes.
→Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and code quality tools.
→Experience building backend services and APIs supporting Android/iOS mobile applications.
