The Lapua Rimfire Test Center provides weapon and ammunition performance matching for competitive rimfire shooters. The Test Center Specialist is responsible for the overall customer satisfaction and sales of ammunition, by performing the required tests and working with the customer to meet their needs. This position entails operating all aspects of the Lapua Rimfire Test Center.

 

Responsibilities

·         Market the Lapua Test Center in coordination with sales and marketing teams.

·         Schedule appointments for live testing at the facility.

·         Schedule testing of customers’ firearms that are shipped to facility.

·         Answer all incoming calls for the Lapua Test Center.

·         Maintain the safety, functionality and cleanliness of the Lapua Test Center.

·         Control and Organize ammunition inventory.

·         Perform weapons and ammunition matching tests and interpret test results for customers.

·         Coordinate the sale of ammunition through the Lapua/SK distribution channels.

·         Process orders and payments.

·         Understand and follow basic import/export licensing requirements and basic ATF regulations.

·         Understand hazardous materials shipping requirements.

·         Prepare weekly and periodic sales and inventory reports.

·         Assist other operations in other departments as needed.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

·         Mechanical aptitude

·         Competitive shooting experience preferred

·         Ability to accurately read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

·         Firearm Safety and handling

·         Excellent interpersonal skills – able to understand customer desires

·         Ability to follow all safety and procedural requirements

·         Ability to lift 70 pounds

·         Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

·         Computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

·         Current driver’s license and passport

The position requires up to 20% of travel in the USA and internationally, as needed.

The work is primarily performed in a typical office environment and at a rimfire testing facility. The testing facility requires hearing and eye protection to be worn when there is firing of rifles.

 

A ventilation system is utilized to ensure lead exposure is minimized. Yearly blood level tests and hearing tests are required to ensure a safe working environment.

 

For the most part, ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment.

 

The work requires interaction with customers face to face, through email, and over the phone daily.
