At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

The goal of Ops Services is to meet the needs of Workplace Services by providing the best client service possible as it relates to the recordkeeping aspects of Defined Contribution Retirement Plans. Specifically, a Specialist within PAI is responsible for accurately executing high volumes of incoming documents, researching activity, managing relationships with internal business partners, and ensuring absolute compliance with all regulatory requirements of ERISA Law.

The Specialist is expected to manage volumes of incoming checks and documents, validation of documents, and completion of other requests received from our internal partners. Position responsibilities include queue oversight, researching, and responding to internal partner requests, maintaining quality control and procedures, creating process improvements, and performing audit fulfillment to meet key deliverables while exceeding client and participant expectations.  Flexibility and extreme attention to detail, initiative in researching tasks, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to meet multiple competing deadlines is vital to success in this position. Crucial to success is the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, daily-deadline-driven environment coordinating activities of team members and processing transactions to achieve success with minimal errors.  The successful candidate must have superior analytical skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and Word, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with various departments to ensure that daily client deliverables are met.

The most qualified candidate will perform activities like these, with the support of management. The oversight of the team also includes ensuring that service level guarantees are consistently met, internal partners are satisfied with the execution and timeliness of requests, and external clients’ requests are treated with the utmost care and urgency. Work on projects and initiatives as delegated by management and duties as defined by business need.

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of " challenging the status quo " this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
