The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher.
- The candidate will carry out in research in the group led by Dr. Akhil Vaidya in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. The work will consist of molecular and cell biology of malaria parasites involving application of advance techniques such as genetic manipulations of malaria parasites, live cell imaging, and cryo-electron microscopic structural studies. The applicant should have PhD in microbiology or related fields and experience in having worked with malaria parasites.

Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Microbiology or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $54,630 to $81,940 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
