Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Handle end to end product’s development till shipment, ensure right quality, right vendor, right price and on time delivery.
- →Manage and control the price negotiation with suppliers, collect market and competitor activities.
- →Accountable for final order negotiation with the vendors, manage and control order details and requirements to the suppliers/production units.
- →Sourcing potential new suppliers, managing reliable and responsive supply base, discussing supplier performance to achieve speed in the market.
- →Guide team for supplier development and supplier briefing, seasonal supplier evaluation and seasonal capacity blocking for production.
- →Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs placed for business stream to meet all commercial KPIs: OTD etc. and WIP follow-ups
- →Guide and manage sourcing communication for business stream.
- →Manage team and cross functional parties (eg: QA/Technical Teams) on order status and supplier capabilities.
- →Managing the team to achieve business objectives.
- →New Vendor/factory onboarding training.
- →Build and maintain vendor network to business needs.
- →SMS development allocation, costing, price negotiation.
- →Monitoring T&A (WIP) of respective accounts to ensure SMS and bulk production are on track.
- →Collaborate with buyers and suppliers, to negotiate prices, quantities and timescales.
- →Solving problems/conflicts between buyer and vendor.
- →Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
- →Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners
- →Keep fluid, clear and timely communication with both internal and external partners
- →Monitoring vendor/factory on time inspection booking, vessel space booking, shipping document uploading etc.
- →Coordinate with compliance team for FE renew and factory corrective action plan.
- →Time to time reporting to the manager.
- →Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
~1 min read- Proven 10-12 years of working experience in merchandising
- Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/design
- Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Bachelor’s degree in textile engineering or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel
