Amaterra Kitchen & Social Club is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences through knowledgeable beverage service, craft cocktail preparation, wine service, and genuine hospitality. This role plays a key part in maintaining the welcoming and upscale atmosphere of our restaurant, wine tasting room, and social club while ensuring efficient bar operations and adherence to all service standards.
Responsibilities

- Create memorable guest experiences through personalized recommendations and attentive service.
- Build relationships with regular guests and members while maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, concerns, and special accommodations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food menus, beverage offerings, wines, beers, and specialty cocktails.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Execute craft cocktails with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Recommend wines, cocktails, and beverage pairings to complement menu selections.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and verify guest age in accordance with Oregon liquor laws.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and address service concerns professionally and appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
- Prepare garnishes, mixers, syrups, and other bar ingredients as needed.
- Participate in opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating beverage inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all products.
- Work closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Support fellow team members during busy service periods.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education programs.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant, wine bar, hotel, or similar hospitality environment preferred.
- Must possess or obtain a valid OLCC Service Permit and Oregon Food Handler Card.
