The Bartender/Server is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in Crosswater Grille and for mixing and serving drinks to guests. They will take orders, deliver food, drinks and other items to guests. The Server will act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests. They will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.
The Server will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. He/She/They shall strive to deliver exceptional service to all internal and external guests at all times. In this role, they are responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture and actively supporting our Vision and Mission to be the destination of choice for our guests, owners, and associates.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Takes food and beverage orders using proper procedures and enters them accurately into the POS system
- →Serves food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely and high-quality service
- →Performs final quality checks on all food and beverage items prior to serving
- →Mixes and prepares cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
- →Maintains full knowledge of all menus, meal periods, beverage offerings, and specials
- →Explains menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, and offers recommendations, including wine pairings
- →Incorporates guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests into service delivery
- →Provides poolside food and beverage service as required
- →Monitors guest experience to ensure satisfaction and promptly responds to additional needs
- →Offers creative and suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and drive revenue
- →Provides a warm, sincere welcome and farewell to all guests using guest names and maintaining eye contact
- →Maintains up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities, services, and special events and promotes them to guests
- →Provides general resort information and assists guests with questions and requests
- →Resolves guest concerns promptly, professionally, and with a high level of care
- →Cleans, sanitizes, and resets tables, chairs, counters, bar areas, and service stations
- →Prepares and stocks service areas, including condiments, coffee, glassware, and other supplies
- →Maintains cleanliness and organization of bar areas, walk-ins, reach-ins, and storage spaces
- →Ensures all supplies, ingredients, liquor, beer, and wine are properly stocked and maintained to par levels
- →Completes daily requisitions and ensures readiness of all service areas before, during, and after shifts
- →Completes all opening, ongoing, and closing side work and ensures manager sign-off
- →Accurately prepares and presents guest checks and processes all forms of payment in a timely manner
- →Follows all cash handling and bookkeeping procedures, including maintaining and balancing banks and completing daily drops
- →Opens and manages tabs and ensures proper payment is received
- →Accurately records tips and hours worked at the end of each shift
- →Verifies guest identification for alcohol service and room charging privileges in accordance with legal and company standards
- →Adheres to all OLCC regulations, food safety standards, CPR requirements, and resort policies
- →Maintains awareness of safety hazards and reports any issues to supervisors immediately
- →Follows proper lost and found procedures and demonstrates respect for guest property at all times
Requirements

- At least one year resort server experience preferred
- At least one year food & beverage experience preferred
- At least six months experience with POS systems preferred
- At least one year bartending experience preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
- Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire- participate in RVP and Retail sales program as well
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
