Engineer

We have an opportunity to join the Engineering team at Dunbia Treburley in Launceston. We are looking for a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias desired but not essential) to support the production and site.

Currently the shift is operating from Monday to Friday, 05:00 – 14:00 based on a 40 -hour working week. The Engineers are on a grading system which is skill dependant and will be discussed upon enquiry.

20 days basic holiday entitlement + the 8 bank holidays

Dunbia use NEST as the pension provider with auto enrolment at the 3-month point.

Overtime is payable after 40 hours at a premium rate.

There is a call out rota which is generally one week in 4. This is paid at a premium rate.

We offer additional training to support Engineers in developing their skill set.

• →Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly
• →Proven Electrical / mechanical knowledge
• →Building maintenance.
• →Stainless Steel fabrication TIG Welding an advantage
• →Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose
• →Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
• →Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate
• →Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job card.

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
• Will be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
• Food industry experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at height.
