We are a full-service electrical contractor offering commercial, industrial, residential, voice/data cabling, traffic signalization, and underground installations. We have extensive experience in both commercial and industrial electrical contracting, as well as installation and support for residential homes and buildings.

Responsibilities

  • →Comply with all federal, state, and local safety and health guidelines and requirements, as well as site-specific safety provisions
  • →Partner with the safety team in the following activities:
    • →Site-specific safety training or safety awareness events
    • →Monitoring compliance of safety practices throughout the worksite
    • →Assisting in response to safety incidents and administering First Aid as needed
    • →Participating in walk-though audits for safety practices and site facility inspections
    • →Performing routine onsite activities as required by Baker Electric and site partners (i.e., assignment of safety equipment, gather required medical documentation, etc.)
  • →Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to HRM or Executive Leaders with recommendation for resolution.
  • →Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in college courses in a related field
  • Long-term interest in a construction related career such as project management, estimating, operation management including safety, superintendent, etc.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail
  • Conscientiousness, personal responsibility and dependability
  • Familiarity with Windows based operating systems and web-based applications, include ERP systems or other construction/financial software packages

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, see, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

The employee may be required to commute to field locations and project sites and be able to navigate around the job site locations autonomously.

At the jobsite, the employee may be required to work outdoors, being exposed to wet, humid, dusty, sunlight and other unfavorable conditions (cold and heat); may have to navigate high, precarious or tight locations; may be required to move mechanical and electrical parts; and may face risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
