Requirements
~1 min readMinimum of 25 weeks of military technical training school, along with an additional 4 years of related experience is required. or 2 years of directly related non-military technical trade school or the equivalent experience, along with an additional 4 years of related experience is required. or Bachelor's degree in a technical field or the equivalent experience is required. Industry certifications are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Performs field activities including the installation, start-up, cutover, and checkout of newly installed systems; maintains, integrates, troubleshoots, tests, and services fielded systems/products at customer sites; and sets up and utilizes specialized test and diagnostic equipment to isolate malfunctions
- →Performs equipment/system acceptance testing, following established procedures.
- →Assists in cable builds and fiber optic handling/splicing.
- →Maintains complete and accurate logs, documentation of all work orders, spare part inventories, and other reports as necessary.
- →Works under general supervision, often with more senior Field Support Reps to plan and emplace system configuration to meet specific mission requirements.
- →Provides technical support independently, displaying a high degree of resourcefulness and initiative.
- →Troubleshoots and diagnoses system/equipment interface problems during installations.
- →Travel may be required more than 30% of the time.
- →May deploy to CONUS or OCONUS field locations.

- Working knowledge of technologies associated with supported systems and the application of these technologies within the customer environment
- Knowledge of basic routing/switching commands/protocols
