Manager, OEM Platform Software

Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division is looking for a Manager, OEM Platform Software to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Director, Software and Geomatics, this role will provide exceptional functional and technical leadership to a team of world-class engineers developing GNSS technologies and embedded software platforms. You will drive the OEM software platform roadmap, support ongoing business initiatives, and work collaboratively across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Applied Research in a dynamic high-tech environment.

• →Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• →3+ years in a technical management or functional leadership role.
• →3+ years in a development or research role focused on embedded software or firmware platforms.
• →Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded firmware development.
• →Proven ability to develop a vision and plans that translate industry trends into practical and actionable work.
• →Exposure to global work practices and international collaboration.
• →Excellent organizational and planning abilities with strong communication skills.

• Experience leading teams focused on embedded systems development.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GNSS receiver architecture.
• Field experience with GNSS applications.
• Linux development experience.
• Experience with Git.
• Familiarity with ASPICE processes.

• Excellent people and team leadership skills.
• Self-starter who proactively identifies what needs to be done and takes action.
• Effective and efficient decision-maker who considers what is best for the NovAtel Positioning Division and Hexagon Autonomous Solutions.
• Strong sense of curiosity and conscientiousness.
