What You’ll Do 

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing mail, shipments and deliveries. 


Day to Day Responsibilities (Limit to most important/top 10 duties if possible)


    Notifies departments of receipts of goods, equipment, etc. 

    Maintains a clean, neat and well-organized work area. 

    Order, organize, maintain and stock coffee supplies.

    Operate and maintain mail machine. Maintain adequate stock of supplies. 

    Prepare and distribute interoffice, bulk and standard mail pieces. 

    Liaison for USPS account. 

    Oversees second floor copy machine at the Zoo.

    Packs and loads merchandise, supplies and general packages for shipment. 

    Assists in management FEDEX account,.

What We’re Looking For


Must Haves: (required for the role)

    High school diploma

    Must have the ability to use mobile devices, computer, phone, and copy machine. 

    Must have the ability to operate a forklift. 


Nice-to-Haves: (preferred for the role)

     Forklift operator


Physical Requirements: (Add per list provided based on role type)

1.    Physical Demands:

a.    Continuous standing, walking, lifting, bending, and twisting.

b.    Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing over 50 pounds, often repeatedly.

c.    Regularly climbing ladders and operating heavy machinery.

d.    Sustained manual dexterity and coordination.

e.    Physical stamina for long shifts involving repetitive or strenuous tasks.

2.    Environmental Conditions:

a.    Primarily outdoor environments or industrial settings.

b.    Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, or loud noises.

c.    Exposure to potential hazards such as heavy machinery, moving vehicles, or electrical equipment.
