Developer, Corporate Systems

The Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ORMB solutions that support billing, revenue, tax, and financial reporting processes. This role encompasses building and enhancing ORMB configurations, custom algorithms, batch programs, PL/SQL, and integrations, translating functional specifications into robust, well-tested code that drives ORMB system enhancements, integrations, and upgrade initiatives.

 

Working under the direction of the Technical Manager and in close partnership with business analysts and development leads, the Developer will serve as a hands-on technical contributor for billing and revenue workflows within ORMB, ensuring that delivered solutions align with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, performance expectations, and business objectives. This role also supports ORMB upgrade and migration efforts by developing data conversion and reconciliation routines, resolving defects, and ensuring process continuity across environments.

 

• →Design, develop, configure, and unit test ORMB components including algorithms, batch jobs, business objects, service scripts, and UI maps.
• →Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and SQL queries for billing, revenue recognition, tax, and financial reconciliation processes.
• →Build and maintain integrations between ORMB and upstream and downstream systems using web services, REST and SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces.
• →Translate functional specifications and business requirements into technical designs and working, maintainable code.
• →Support and enhance batch job architecture, including performance tuning and parallelization of month-end close and billing processes.
• →Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute reusable frameworks and components that support new ORMB features and process changes.
• →Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, interface specifications, configuration registers, and deployment run books.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve production defects, performance bottlenecks, and data issues across ORMB environments.
• →Collaborate with DBAs, QA engineers, and business analysts within an Agile/Scrum delivery model, leveraging Structured Query Language (“SQL”), database technologies and data structures, web services, and Application Programming Interfaces (“APIs”).

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience in Java, SQL and PLSQL programs.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL for development, tuning, and financial reconciliation against large relational databases (Oracle preferred).
• Hands-on development experience with Oracle ORMB, CC&B, or a comparable OUAF-based revenue billing platform strongly preferred.
• Experience working in teams alongside business analysts, DBAs, and QA engineers.
• Working understanding of core accounting and finance concepts: accounts receivable, revenue recognition, general ledger, indirect tax, and financial period close processes.
• Ability to communicate technical designs clearly to both developers and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and debugging skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and tools as the role evolves.

 

• Familiarity with the ORMB/OUAF technical framework and configuration: Java-based extensions, the OUAF SDK, rate schedules, algorithms, SA types, bill cycles, and adjustment processing.
• Experience with BI Publisher, Tableau, or similar reporting tools for financial data visualization and audit support.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with global teams across time zones.
