Responsibilities

→Consistently selects and performs appropriate CT protocol based on patient’s clinical presentation according to established guidelines.
→Selects reviews and adjusts appropriate technical factors to produce optimal CT images based on patient’s age and physical condition.
→Routinely positions patients properly on CT table. Removes all preventable artifacts that may interfere with image quality.
→Consistently completes the full exam- all appropriate paperwork, post-processing and archiving.
→Consistently verifies accurate and complete patient identifiers, procedure and other pertinent information.
→
Consistently demonstrates appropriate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy.
→
Demonstrates a good technical knowledge to fully understand and operate the CT scanners and accessory equipment.

Maintains and cleans all CT equipment to established guidelines.
→
Actively keeps work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program (or equivalent)
Current ARRT certification and registration required
Active Maryland Radiologic Technologist license required
Current AHA BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
